Step #2: Incorporate the enterprise with “Company Haus”

Registration process

Any business wishing to operate as a registered company in Solomon Islands must incorporate through Company Haus, the official companies registry under the Ministry of Commerce, Industries, Labour & Immigration (MCILI).

Process

1. Create an account
Investors must first create a free account on the Company Haus portal by clicking “Create an Account” at the top right of the page.

2. Provide company information

Applicants must enter the company name and type (private, public, community, or overseas), commencement date, and main business sector.

  • Community companies: Must include a statement of community interest.
  • Overseas companies: Must state the original jurisdiction of incorporation.
Contact person details (phone and email) are also required.
    In addition, applicants must provide:
  • A registered office address (must be a physical address, not a P.O. Box)
  • A postal address
  • Contact details for communication
Each company must also have at least one director and one shareholder, with full names and addresses recorded.

3. Review & pay the application fee
Before submission, applicants should carefully review their application to ensure all details are correct. The incorporation fee of SBD $1,500 (approx. US $180) must then be paid at the Government Treasury (MFT) or at a provincial cashier.

4. Processing & confirmation
Applications are normally processed within five (5) working days. Once approved, confirmation of company registration is issued and available through the applicant’s Company Haus account.
