The Solomon Islands Tourism: Investable Sites Identification and Selection report, developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, serves as a practical guide to identify, assess, and profile land suitable for tourism development.
Using Western Province as a pilot, the study created a structured eight-step process to build an inventory of investable sites, addressing key barriers such as limited land availability and tenure issues. By providing detailed site profiles and a transparent methodology, the guide strengthens Solomon Islands’ ability to attract private sector tourism investment, diversify its economy, and foster sustainable growth
