The Solomon Islands Investment Policy and Promotion Strategy 2023–2043 sets a 20-year roadmap to position the country as a preferred Pacific investment destination. Managed by Invest Solomon under MCILI, it is a rolling framework reviewed every five years to reflect changing conditions. The strategy focuses on improving the investment climate and promoting quality FDI, joint ventures, and domestic investment.
Key priorities include transforming Invest Solomon into a statutory Investment Promotion Authority, establishing Special Economic Zones (SEZs), promoting priority sectors such as tourism, fisheries, agribusiness, mining, infrastructure, health, education, and renewable energy, and strengthening facilitation and investor protection. The plan emphasizes competitiveness, ease of doing business reforms, transparent governance, and alignment with national goals to drive sustainable growth, job creation, and poverty reduction
