The Agriculture Sector Growth and Investment Plan (ASGIP) 2021–2030 is Solomon Islands’ 10-year roadmap to modernize and commercialize agriculture, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and aligned with the National Development Strategy. It focuses on four core programs: governance and innovation, food and nutrition security, livestock development, and crop development.
The plan prioritizes climate-smart technologies, resilient food systems, value addition for key crops, and local livestock production, while promoting inclusivity, disaster preparedness, and public–private partnerships. It calls for a significant budget increase, with MAL’s allocation projected to rise from SBD$56 million in 2020 to SBD$362 million by 2030, to drive food security, rural livelihoods, and sustainable growth
